Guide
Requirements vary by city, campus, department, and booking channel. Use this checklist before travel and follow the target hospital's current instructions.
For an emergency, do not wait for cross-border help. Call local emergency services now. Contact local emergency care immediately.
01
Match identity and appointment details
Bring the original passport used for booking. Check name spelling, document number, birth date, hospital campus, department, date, and contact. Ask whether companions need identification for clinic or admission procedures.
02
Prepare a primary and backup payment method
Ask whether the hospital accepts RMB cash, cards, or mobile payment. Confirm when deposits are due. Do not assume every international card works. Never send hospital fees to an unverified personal account.
03
Clarify language support and documents to take home
When arranging interpretation, state the language, department, service, expected duration, and whether admission is involved. Before leaving, collect reports, imaging, prescriptions, medicines, and the discharge summary. Confirm follow-up and English document options.
