Guide
Every hospital and department has different requirements. Start with record review before booking travel.
Medical tourism in China may involve medical treatment arrangements. Plan and coordinate them in advance. SinoCareHub coordinates records and communication; the hospital and doctor make all clinical decisions.
01
Step 1: Send an inquiry
Use the form or email us. Share your diagnosis, symptoms, country, preferred dates, and language. An advisor replies within 24 hours on business days. Emergencies need local emergency care now.
- Your main care question
- Preferred travel dates
- Language and companion needs
02
Step 2: Prepare your medical records
Send the records listed by your advisor. Include reports, imaging, pathology, medicines, allergies, and treatment history. A referral letter is not always required. We confirm any medical records translation before hospital submission.
- Passport name and birth date
- Reports, imaging, and pathology
- Current medicines and allergies
03
Step 3: Wait for hospital review
We submit complete records through the hospital's accepted channel. Hospital review decides acceptance, department, and missing tests. We then send the campus, date, and check-in desk details. Choose changeable flights until the hospital confirms the plan.
04
Step 4: Prepare your visa and trip
Check the Chinese embassy or visa center serving your country. The hospital may issue supporting documents after review. We can request them but cannot guarantee visa approval. Confirm flights, hotel, airport pickup, and mobility needs separately.
05
Step 5: Check in at the hospital
Bring the original passport used for booking. Also bring confirmation and requested original records. Meet your interpreter at the agreed place. Then go to the check-in desk. Hospital staff handle registration, tests, cashier payments, or admission.
06
Step 6: Confirm payment and insurance
Ask which payment methods the hospital accepts before travel. Options may include RMB cash, UnionPay, international cards, or mobile payment. Ask whether Visa or Mastercard works. Ask whether deposits allow an international wire transfer. Only use accounts confirmed by the hospital. Direct billing needs approval from both hospital and insurer. Otherwise, keep documents for an insurance claim.
07
Step 7: Collect reports and prescriptions
Before leaving, collect reports, imaging, prescriptions, invoices, and itemized charges. Confirm when each electronic report becomes available. Ask whether the hospital can send it by email. Chinese-only reports and medication instructions may need separate translation. Check warning signs, follow-up dates, and contact details.
08
Step 8: Continue care after returning home
Share translated records with your doctor at home. Ask whether the Chinese hospital offers remote follow-up. Confirm the channel, time zone, records, and payment before booking. We can organize issued documents for an insurance claim. Your insurer decides requirements and reimbursement.
